Lighting The Path: A Journey With Our Children
Shaping Tomorrow's Leaders Through Faith, Love, and Learning
Welcome to Our World of Wonder
In the heart of our church lies a vibrant promise to our youngest members: to introduce them to the love and teachings of Jesus. Our Children’s Ministries Department is a beacon of light for those aged 0-17, offering a kaleidoscope of classes where joy, creativity, and faith merge to form a foundation for life.
Ages Of Focus
Early Steps in Faith: The Kindergarten Class (0-5 years): In our nurturing Kindergarten environment, little ones are immersed in a world of songs and crafts, planting the seeds of faith through playful learning.
Discovering Jesus: The Primary Class (6-9 years): As children grow, so does their curiosity. Our Primary Class feeds this thirst for knowledge with engaging crafts and stories about Christ, sparking a lifelong journey of faith.
Exploring the Word: The Junior Class (10-13 years): Practical activities await our Juniors, offering hands-on experiences to deepen their understanding and love for the Bible.
Voices of Tomorrow: The Teen Class: For our teens, we create spaces for self-exploration and dialogue. Encouraging independent reading, lively debates, and thoughtful conversations, we guide them as they forge their unique paths in faith.
Connecting Youth: Navigating Faith Together
Celebrating Growth: The 13th Sabbath Service
Every quarter, our children shine, sharing their learnings in a special service that reflects the depth of their spiritual journey, a testament to their growth and our collective commitment to nurturing their faith.
Beyond the Classroom: Integrating Faith and Life
True belonging comes from being an integral part of a community. We strive to involve our children in various church departments, fostering a sense of ownership and understanding of their vital role in our church family. Through parties, banquets, outings, and service, we extend our teachings beyond the Sabbath, enriching our children’s lives with experiences that embody the essence of Christian living.
A Sanctuary of Love: At the core of our mission is the wellbeing of each child. We dedicate ourselves to creating a sanctuary where every child is heard, valued, and guided with love. Through open dialogues, we encourage our children to express themselves, fostering a community where they feel genuinely cared for and supported.
Cultivating Personal Faith: Our ultimate goal is to empower our children to develop a personal relationship with God. Through challenges, prayer, discussions, and active faith, we light the way for them to discover their spiritual selves, inspiring them to live a life of service and devotion.
Our Guiding Principles
Our guiding principles are rooted in the profound insights of Ellen G. White, reminding us of the unparalleled importance of early spiritual education:
“Too much importance cannot be placed on the early training of children. The lessons that the child learns during the first seven years of life have more to do with forming his character than all that it learns in future years.” Child Guidance, 193.
“It is still true that children are the most susceptible to the teachings of the gospel; their hearts are open to divine influences, and strong to retain the lessons received.” Desire of Ages, 515.
“Children of eight, ten, or twelve years are old enough to be addressed on the subject of personal religion…They need to be educated in spiritual things.” IT 400.
“When Jesus told the disciples not to forbid the children to come to Him, He was speaking to His followers in all ages.” Desire of Ages, 517.
Join us on this sacred journey of discovery, growth, and joy. Together, we are nurturing the hearts and minds that will shape the future.
