Strengthening Family Bonds

Our Objective: At the Handsworth SDA Family Ministries Department, our core mission is to fortify families within our community by equipping them with essential tools and seminars. These resources are designed to foster emotional and spiritual growth, enabling families to effectively share God’s message of love in their communities.

Our Mission: We are inspired by the teachings of 1 John 4:7-8 to cultivate a culture of love and unity. Our efforts are dedicated to restoring and strengthening connections within the family unit and our wider community.

Our Vision for Families: We believe that families are the bedrock of society, the church, and our communities. It is within the family that God’s design for individuals to experience and share love is most vividly realised. Families are the first schools of character. Here, children learn values, beliefs, and attitudes that shape their future and influence the community at large.

Embracing Family Diversity

An Inclusive Ministry: Our Family Ministries does not limit its focus to traditional nuclear families but extends its support to all forms of familial structures. Whether it’s nuclear families, stepfamilies, single individuals, single-parent families, or the larger family of God, our ministry aims to assist in nurturing wholesome and supportive relationships.

Challenges and Support: Managing daily responsibilities, resolving conflicts, and harmonising different upbringings can be challenging in any family setting. Recognizing this, our Family Ministries is dedicated to providing guidance and support to help all families navigate these complexities with grace and understanding.
